Our History
1984
Abrasifs JJS founded by Jules Samson becomes the exclusive Canadian importer of Sia Abrasives, a leader in abrasives products/solutions and the third largest manufacturer of coated abrasive products worldwide.
1991
Expansion of sales activities in Ontario and Western Canada with the opening of office in Concord, Ontario.
1998
Andree Samson, daughter of the founder Jules Samson, assumes ownership.
2003
Investment in and expansion of warehouse facility in St-Nicolas increasing access and product availability in Canada.
2009
JJS expands product offering becoming the exclusive Canadian importer of PROFLEX brushes, made in Denmark.
2016–2017
Ontario Sales office moves from Concord Ontario to Newmarket. Ellen Moser-Harris becomes CEO.
2019
Abrasifs JJS partners with Lamello adding the innovative wood joining system products to their offering and becoming the exclusive Canadian importer.
2020
JJS becomes the exclusive Canadian importer of On-System products.
2020
Abrasifs JJS introduces the new JJS logo.
2022
On a spree of expansion, JJS ties a knot with Minispot (Biel), entering the wood repair niche as the exclusive distributor across US & Canada.
2023
JJS expands its product portfolio in tools and machinery with Mafell saws.
2024
JJS celebrates the 40th anniversary!
